The Free-dom Of Summer - (USA)
One of the things I love about summer is the simple fun you can have without spending any money. Sure, you can spend tons and go to a water park or any number of things if you want to and that’s fine but if you don’t want to spend a lot you really don’t have to. Summer, in comparison to the other seasons, has SO many more fun things to do for FREE. Yesterday I took the three girls to a family member’s camp on a lake. We spent most of the day there, where they played in the sand, threw about 5

PT Playbook: Badminton Basics - (USA)
Badminton is distinguished from other racquet sports, all of which use a ball of some size, by two features: the use of a shuttlecock (birdie) and the fact the shuttlecock cannot touch the ground during a rally. It’s also considered the world’s fastest racquet sport since the shuttlecock (a small bouncy ball with a cone of feathers glued to it) can leave a player’s racquet at a mind boggling 200 miles per hour! Competitive badminton is far different from the game played in the backyard at fami

Dating And Making Friends for Asians - (USA)
by Jai Bhojpuri Asians are a great set of people. Being Indian myself, I am able to comment on the nature of my fellow Indians and how we think. Generally speaking, Indians are quite shy. Asians do not always mix with others and generally keep to themselves. They tend to stay among themselves because they are just to shy. When Indians get out of their respective areas either for employment or training they frequently get unsocial. They frequently have not much to do in their free time a

Living healthy and working out - (USA)
F or the past two weeks, Marc and I have been frequenting the Marikina Sports Center for regular work-out. He runs at the oval while waiting for me complete my boxing session. I can think of many different reasons why I decided to start working out, but none really stood out except for the fact that I just wanted to. Marc brought me to the Marikina Sports Center two weeks ago so we’d be able to try the place out, but going there brought back so much memories—I used to run for the track t

We're Number 36!!! - (USA)
ESPN, the Disney-owned American cable TV network that touts itself as the ‘worldwide leader in sports’, asked a 8-person panel of sports experts to determine the “toughest” sport. The panel evaluated 60 sports in 10 different categories: endurance, strength, power, speed, agility, flexibility, nerve, durability, hand-eye coordination and analytic aptitude. The 8 experts judged each sport in the 10 categories on a scale of 1-to-10. The responses were compiled to give each sport a degree-of-dif

Where are You Getting Your Sports Equipments? - (USA)
Sports equipment is a very wide term to denote a variety of sports goods used for playing different games. The history of the sports equipment dates back to the time when the first Olympics were held, it was then that people had seen the equipments of high quality. Javelin was among the most favorite sports equipment as it was even used as a tool to be used in wars. Majorities of sports are invariably ball games or in other words, the games played which are played with a ball. Some of the classi

FlashBack Friday: Spanking Olympics - (USA)
We’re headed to south Florida today to visit family for the weekend. Don’t think there will be any spanking fun going on… but it should be a fun vanilla time visiting. Probably will go to the beach too. Also, we likely wont be online much this weekend. Can check our Email, but no chat. Now to FlashBack Friday. This time last year the Olympics were in full swing. In the spirit of the games, we shared this fun little post. Hope you enjoy looking back at it. Have a great weekend! __________

Exercise, Sports, Sweat - (USA)
It’s sad that I can’t do some exercise because of my present health condition. I am not allowed to do any sports activity or anything physical that can make my bones break. I am also not allowed to even sweat a little, goodness I feel like a stagnant person and disabled too. I miss playing badminton, I also miss going to the gym and using the treadmill and ellipticals really helped me relax and tone my body. I guess I just need to wait a little more before things can get to normal.

Interview post at Manila Standard Today - (USA)
Check out this fantastic interview Michael did with Manilastandardtoday.com. Rock and Roll has a soul: An interview with Michael Johns By Camille V. Pilar “Hey, I like your jacket. And is that a Jim Morrisson pin? I like the Doors. I sang a Doors song during the show.” There was a two-second pause before I mustered a reply. “Yeah, Light My Fire, right?” He smiled and nodded. It took me a few more seconds to settle down, set up my recorder and look at Michael Johns straight in the eye. Cla

Speed Read: The NFL Is Back! It’s Awes…Yawn - (USA)
Hey, it’s early August, so it’s that time of year to get really fired up about football and be let down again and again by the abyss of suck that is the preseason. The Hall of Fame Game was last night , and it was billed as Terrell Owens ‘ big debut for the Bills against the Titans. It’s exciting and all since it’s football, but it’s lame because even before halftime you’re watching guys that even the UFL would reject. Owens was fine in limited action, and both teams only used their starters b

OPLAN KALUSUGAN Speaking of baseball, my officemates and I are now in the process of brainstorming for new fitness plans for the year 2009. While baseball seems to be an interesting option, we are seriously considering running, badminton, and bowling. I just hope my health condition improves tremendously in 2009. Now wouldn't it be great if there were rooftop baseball, badminton, maybe even running courts like those featured in sheffieldbaseballclub.com, that we could gain access to? And I b

PE Lesson In Japan - (USA)
Short note: Happy Birthday, Daddy!I'm already twenty-two this year and guess what; I still have Physical Education (PE) lessons in my time table. The reason surely came from the fact that I still have one more year to study in this technical college before I can finally call myself a university student. PE classes are compulsory for all students from the first grade to the fifth in technical colleges in my place at least, if not the whole of Japan. However, it was optional for the international
