14 tracks that make you wish you played the piano | 14 Tracks - (USA)
14 tracks that make you wish you played the piano - Welcome to another 14 track selection - and thanks for the overwhelming response to our launch last week. Please note that there are several selections up on the site - you can navigate these using the arrows on either side of the main window. We are also currently implementing a number of changes, fixes and improvements so keep your eyes peeled and keep those comments coming! And onto the lastest selection...... This selection collects some of those remarkable tracks, as well as standout material spanning classical music, hip hop and modern day experimentation - all revolving around the piano...

WOODSTOCK 1969 - 40th Anniversary of a Hippie Happening - (USA)
Something unusual happened on August 15th, 1969. Something that has become legend in American pop culture. Wrapped in the fantasies of four decades of baby boomer memories and shrouded by the mists of an entire generation of flower children, a simple music festival became a major part of American pop culture history. Originally billed as "An Aquarian Exposition" and slated for the dates August 15th through the 17th, it turned into four days (ending on the 18th) of free music and free love

So Long, California - (USA)
By Charles Hugh Smith, OFTWOMINDS Dude, California is so doomed. It pains me to write this, for I have a deep bond with both California and Hawaii, but California as it is currently composed is well and truly doomed. Beneath the phony bluster of its pathetically incompetent “leadership” here is the fundamental picture. The California economy has depended on six industries to power growth since 1941: 1. aerospace/defense 2. tourism 3. agriculture 4. high-tech (R&D, computers,

Sunday, Sunday - (USA)
We have had such a fun couple of days. Swimming was a total blast. We had this huge indoor pool and hot tub all to ourselves. We all swam and played for hours and hours. We took a short break for lunch in the middle and then went right back to swimming and playing. We used the hotel room tub and the pool house showers to get everyone clean and into comfy sweats, and then all crashed on the short ride home. After a quick and easy dinner we all watched "Home Alone" (one of my all time favorite C

Christmas Shopping Part I: A black and blues Christmas. - (USA)
We thought we'd attempt to incorporate some of our favorite music from this past year into our holiday shopping guide, and this one seemed easy enough, our favorite black and blue items (all on sale this holiday weekend!) inspired by the bluesy Brooklyn-based Menahan Street Band's Make the Road by Walking. Especially since it's something we could see ourself wearing to their next gig. Is it too much to ask they play some covers from the Vince Guaraldi Trio's A Charlie Brown Christmas? Even bet
